Here's a view of our place in Guinda - - it's a bike ride away from the general store and 2 hours' drive east and north from San Francisco where we live. Our 15 acres are completely flat with neighbors far enough to have plenty of space for everyone and near enough to know by name. Life slows down in the place my Dad called "the valley that time forgot," and the main events of the day are definitely the wonderful meals enjoyed outside under the tree. Of all the pleasures of country life, being near where food is grown is among the best. Get a taste for yourself with our organically grown almonds, walnuts, sun dried peaches and raisins.
